An Intro to Pelvic Floor Therapy

Hello! My name is Anna Daughenbaugh. I am a PT here at Rise Up Physical Therapy and I wanted to introduce myself and talk with you a little bit about what I do as a women’s health specialist.

I love what I do and more often than not I can relate to what you are going through. I was a Division I college athlete and I am a mother of three with one on the way! As women, we face challenges in every stage of our lives. We struggle through many changes and often need support, and I would love to support you.

I can tell you that, in my experience, many women do not even realize that they are appropriate for pelvic floor physical therapy. For example, if you are a women struggling with both back pain and frequent urination, you may need pelvic floor therapy. If you are a young, healthy athlete that leaks with jumping or sliding in your sport, you are also appropriate for women’s health therapy. New mothers struggling to feel like themselves after childbirth are always appropriate for an evaluation, as facing the “fourth trimester” can be so challenging.

I will have more videos coming your way with topics for education, exercises, and other fun and helpful videos!

Thank you for taking the time to check out my post and I will see you soon!
